in Hengdian. Feng Shao Feng has once again paired up with rumored
girlfriend, Myolie Wu, to enter the Han-dynasty palace and portray a
romance within the turbulent times. It was a rough journey in their
relationship, and caused Feng Shao Feng to be going down on his knees
to plead with Myolie Wu to return to his side along a stretch of road.
He truly became haggard physically and emotionally for his loved one.
In
Beauty Scheme, Feng Shao Feng acts as a courageous and upright duke,
Lau Cheung. The young and ambitious Lau Cheung was arrogant towards
people around him, and it seemed that he never had any worries before.
This was because whatever he wanted, it would eventually become his. It
was right until he met a fish-selling girl, Lui Yue. Both of them fell
in love very quickly, but their romance was filled with many obstacles,
and there was even a time when it was "destroyed" by conspiracies, and
they separated due to a misunderstanding. Today, the major scene, which
is being filmed, is about Lau Cheung finally understanding Lui Yue's
pains, and came to plead for forgiveness with his wife by going down on
his knees. There's a saying that 'Men never go down on his knees
easily', and furthermore, he's a duke.
On that day of filming,
the temperature was very high. Feng Shao Feng, whom was wearing thick
Han outfit, was feeling as if he had been locked within a sauna cage.
And according to the plot, throughout the ten-mile distance, he had to
'walk' towards Myolie Wu by kneeling down. Along the way, he even
tripped over his outfit, and the scene was taken over and over again
for a couple of times. When he finally came before Myolie, he tried his
best and withheld his trembling body, and his tears, mixed with the
persipration, flowed down together. This caused Myolie to also choke
down sobs in silence. For this scene, both of their performances could
be said to be fully-absorbed into the scene, and there were chemistry
sparks being produced. Even the crew expressed their compliments over
it, and even joked with Myolie Wu, "Is it that you feel the heart-pain
for him?" As to this, Feng Shao Feng admitted, "When filming, there's a
lot of feel. Actually, for the start and management of every romance
aren't easy. Once truly in love, must learn how to let go of your
pride, and not be so calculative." It looks like, no matter whether
it's in reel or real life, Feng Shao Feng's definitely a good man who's
willing to sacrifice for love.
