Although the Chinse New Year Holidays are over, Taiwan's music CD
market still seems to not have awaken from it's deep slumber. This
week's G-Music billboard ranking continues to be monotonous till the
very end (meaning there aren't any dramatic changes in the ranking).
The champion for this week is still Show Luo's Rashomon, this is the
5th consecutive week for Show taking the number 1 spot, it's also the
best results he's achieved in the G-Music billboard ranking since he's
debut and his dazzling achievement is expected to continue in the
future. Hence, Show Luo's Rashomon is one of the albums in which tops
the G-Music billboard consecutively for the most number of times in the
past few years.
This week's billboard ranking also has a small specialty; revised
albums being released at the same time could be considered one of the
concerns of the market and billboards. And for this week's billboard,
Luo Zhi Xiang's Rashomon has a total of 3 revised works. Firstly would
be Luo Zhi Xiang's Rashoman which released it's revised version in less
than a month of the release of the original album, striking the iron
while it's hot (chinese idom, in this case, meaning seizing the chance
to further boost Rashomon's album sales by introducing the revised
version of the album). From the contents of Rashomon (You Won't be
Alone Commemorate limited edition version), the only changes which are
made is to the lyrics book with added idol collectibles. The more
practical item to be included in the revised edition——MV, is yet to be
seen. Therefore the possibility of Luo Zhi Xiang's Rashomon album being
revised for a second time is high. By looking at the record company's
huge efforts put into the promotions, it seems that the company's set
to pave the way for Rashomon to be one of the top albums for this year;
hence having the album revised for one more time would not be something
impossible. From the the day Rashomon was released till the 21st of
February, promotions for the album are continuously carried out.
However it does not mean Luo Zhi Xiang's promotions would slow down
after that, the world tour coming up would be Luo Zhi Xiang's next
focus in his career. If we were to look at it from a different
perspective, it can be considered as another form of promotion for his
album. Due to the revised album release and autograph sessions carried
out this week, Rashomon continues to top the billboard as it takes up
24.46% of the total sales.
