Jacky Wu: I'm not retiring
Jacky Wu clarifies that he has
no plans for retirement and reveals that he will be currently working
on his final music album. Singer Jay Chou and lyricist Vincent Fang Wen
Shan were invited to jointly compose a song for Wu.
Earlier this
year, it was rumoured that Wu will be withdrawing from showbiz this
June. He had made several comments with regards to the rumour, but his
latest response to it was full of self-mockery.
"I've done much
evil in my last life, which is why I have to continue serving for TV.
It is not like what my other celeb friends has said about me - withdraw
in June and comeback in July."
Apart from continuing
entertaining the audience, Wu has also officially launched his LED
business. The popular host who detests the paparazzi added, "I have to
express my special thanks to the paparazzi who continues stalking me.
These days, I can only stay in my laboratory."
In fact, Wu's
contracts with various programmes will only end in February next year,
so the dude is definitely staying put in showbiz, at least for now.
Though he has no plans to withdraw from the entertainment industry, Wu
is currently preparing for his final music album and has completed
recording five songs.
"I'll release it once I'm done recording.
I see this album as a perfect ending to my career." Based on previous
experience, Wu added, his last album before the contract ends usually
has the best sales.
Wu also specially asked Chou and Fang for
their composition. Though they were not informed that it is his final
album, the golden partners' composition "Yi Lu Shang Xiao Xin" (Bon
Voyage) is surprisingly one that signifies separation and withdrawal.
However, in actual fact, the song is a love ballad that describes the
separation of a couple. Though the song fits in perfectly with the
concept of the album, Wu joked, "It sounds like a funeral song too."
