Madge, Madge, what have you done? In a bid to stay relevant, Madonna took controversy and pasted it on someone's forehead. That someone is French politician Marine Le Pen, who wants to sue Madonna if she repeated that performance in France. Madonna kicked off her MDNA world tour last Thursday in Tel Aviv, Israel, and according to the Daily Mail:

An image of National Front leader Marine Le Pen with a swastika on her forehead appeared on a giant screen at the singer's concert in Tel Aviv, Israel on Thursday. The photo of Le Pen was superimposed with a swastika on her forehead and was displayed for a split second alongside shots of other political figures, including American Republican Sarah Palin and Chinese president Hu Jintao. The furious politician has threatened to sue Madonna if she repeats the stunt when her tour reaches France in July.

Ms Le Pen said: "We understand how old singers who need to get people talking about them go to such extremes. If she does that in France, we'll be waiting."

Ms. Le Pen is the daughter of notorious Jean-Marie Le Pen, a convicted racist and anti-Semite. But after taking over the National Front party following her father's resignation, Marine Le Pen pledged to reform the party, and toned down the party's extremist views.

"We are not a Nazi party, and object to being depicted as such," said a source in the party. "If you accuse the National Front of being anti-Semitic and racist then you accuse a fifth of the French people of being anti-Semitic and racist. If Madonna repeats this slur in France then she will certainly be taken to court."
