I guess the title gives it away... SNSD will be appearing in a Japanese drama!
According to a report by Sankei Sports on December 16th, SNSD will be featured in Fuji TV’s special drama, “SAZAE-San 3” which will be aired on January 2nd at 6:30 PM.
“SAZAE-San” was originally a much beloved comic book of the Japanese, which was later adapted into an animated show that aired for over 40 years through Fuji TV. The story is about an average family that lives in Sakura-shinmachi, Tokyo, and the people they know. The major characteristic of the show is that the Sazae family are all named after different sea creatures.
SNSD will be appearing in the dream of the female protagonist’s father, ‘Namihira’, as beautiful caddies. When ‘Namihira’ makes a hole-in-one dream, all of the members congratulate him with bright smiles.
Producer Asano Sumi revealed, “We were looking for a special guest that fit the month of January and randomly came across SNSD’s promotion video. I felt that they were perfect for a family drama.”
SNSD said, “We’re glad to be able to appear in a popular drama that is much loved in Japan.”
All nine members were present for the filming back in October.
