Sultry Barbie Hsu stars in new pro-vegetarian peta ads
Source: Diva AsiaHottie Barbie Hsu stars in a new pro-vegetarian ad for People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) Asia.
In the ad, which was released today, Hsu shows off her sexy curves in a
"Powered by Tofu" T-shirt and an unbuttoned pair of short shorts,
striking a fierce pose next to the words "I Am Barbie Hsu, and I Am a
Vegetarian."
"Animals are like my brothers and sisters, my friends and my family",
says the actor and singer, who was voted Asia's Sexiest Vegetarian
woman in PETA's 2009 poll. "I love all animals. That's why I won't eat
them."
In addition to being cruelty-free, a healthy vegetarian diet helps
protect against heart disease, cancer, strokes, and other diseases -
and it can help you stay slim and sexy, according to Hsu.
PETA and Barbie have also teamed up for an ad that features a cuddly
costar - an adorable piglet - and the message "Compassion Is Beautiful.
Go Vegetarian!"
Hsu originally wore a white top during the photo shoot, but it became
soiled when the piglet had an "accident" while Hsu was holding him.
Unfazed, Hsu joked, "That's not mine!" Hsu thought of naming her new
friend "Bacon" for fun but feared that the piglet might really become
someone's breakfast someday. Instead, she named the piglet Dai Dai in
memory of her beloved dog, who passed away a few years ago. The new Dai
Dai has been adopted into a loving home.
Hsu joins a host of international stars - including Pamela Anderson,
Natalie Portman, Sir Paul McCartney, and Maggie Q - who have kicked the
meat habit.
